Great Day

Well, today is a GREAT day. my daughter-in-law is graduating from college today. Bad news is since I need to spend at least 6 hours in the car + festivities time means no tinkering today. Its ALL GOOD though because this is totally worth it.

I did not sync any code or publish anything on coding yesterday because the course i was attempting to take on QT, well, it drove me crazy. Or should I say the instructor was driving me a bit crazy. So, I had to search for another course/instructor, which I did eventually find. Downside is these courses are for noobs and always start at the painfully boring iniital topics. Who am I, what is this tech, why is this tech worth learning, who is this course for, how to get the most out of the course, what is an IDE, installing the IDE on mac, windows, linux, Hello World!, Variables, Data Types, Constants, Arrays, Comparitors, Logical Operators, If statements, Loops, Functions, Variable Scope….all before even getting to object orientation and any remotely fun stuff.

At any rate, I decided that i will take a course dedicated to C++, which I started a few days back, along with a QT QML class for cross platform UI learning. So, 2 courses in parallel covering my objectives. I’m stoked about this, BUT, at work I’m doing some VBA scripting so that is really fucking with syntax management in my old-man brain. Always something.

Regardless, I will go have a great day with family today. Tomorrow I will study and end a bit bored and maybe confused, feeling dumb. That’s the plan!

Sleep last few days has been good though. I go to the pulmonary specialist on Tuesday to get fitted for a CPAP (I assume). Hoping for some life changing improvements there. Also, I exercised yesterday. Going to start making that a habbit. I am making my sleep record the featured image on this post because, well, that’s waht I have this morning.
