July 5 General Update

Its been a weekend at the VA property catching up on maintenance and lounging after not being here for 3 weeks. It is the heat of the summer and bugs are thriving. We mowed the grounds and did a little clean up but next visit will be in 2 weeks and we need to treat for spiders again along with bugs to keep this place enhabitable.

As for electronics, I did a little research this morning but nothing heavy at all. I’ve been working on yet another clock app but this time working with the LVGL_CYD library on one of my CYDs.

As for music, just got a AKAI MPK MINI PLUS on Thrusday and have it set up in the home studio for now. Looking to replace my larger keyboard with something more portable which i can take with me wherever I am. I also hooked up my Eventide H90 to my Laney Ironheart tube amp, and have been tinkering with a smal live rig setup. Seems i am very rusty on the guitar and need to get some mojo back. Also on the music front, i did spend a bit of time this week updating and installing protools plugins. I would like to get a small but high quality audio interface for mobility – we’ll see. Once I have that and some decently loud mobile speakers, i should have a pretty nice portable rig.

When we returned from France we learned that Lola had a serious eye condition affecting vision in both eyes. We got her promptly to a vet on Monday and then to an ophthalmologist on Thursday and now have her on medicine. Based on the ophthalmologist consult, the progrnosis seems good but she really gave us a scare which continues to linger as she recovers. I worry she may not fully recover her vision, but all we can do is be patient, keep her treatment going, and see.

I am on the road presently and do not have access to pictures at this time but will update this post with some pictures when I can. For now, this is where things are. More updates to come!
